Out of these choices, I think the best case was the Hymm one because it is a young science anatomy set. I think it is very helpful for students and people that are learning about the human body. The worst case was The urinal. I think it is just very unnecessary and there's just something about it that I don't like.

Roy Lichtenstein elevated a children's book illustration by painting famous cartoon characters on a large canvas. Pop artists use appropriation by borrowing or creating a newer looking artwork. Some people may believe that you may be famous for 15 minutes, this is because you don't need to be a professional athlete or t.v. star anymore, all you need is a social media account.
I am comparing Sandro Boticelli and Andy warhol's versions of The Birth of Venus. I do not recognize these artworks, but as I was reading about them I learned that they are very popular! These artworks are very similar, the face is literally the same. But, I do think the artist was just inspired by the first one, because the artist didn't add the background and other detail. I think this is good theft because of the title of the artwork, and the amount of theft the artist has done.
My observational drawing was a pumpkin from my dinner table. While drawing this pumpkin I was using the Develop craft studio habit. I was doing this by learning how to draw the back of the pumpkin, which is kind of challenging and strange. Therefore I had to learn a new technique on how to draw a bubbly background, and how to connect the lines to the front of the pumpkin. My plan for artist steal is not yet complete, but I am getting closer. One of my favorite foods is chicken, so for artist steal I decided to do a remix, so I am drawing a live chicken in a frying pan. For this idea I used the envision studio habit, because I really did have to envision and think hard about this idea.
This passed week we've been working on artist steal. One of the studio habits I used was developing craft. I did this by using colored pencils, and permanent marker, in which i haven't used yet this year. I also used envision, while doing my minne- ward artwork I had a tough time trying to envision squidwards legs with minnie's head.
This week we were working on a painting bootcamp. I came up with my idea because I did not have a sketchbook, because of that, I did not have enough room, so i decided to make a somewhat square with my tints and shades. I used the envision studio habit, my design process was to make sure it looked like Mrs. Underhill's, and to make sure I was doing it right. I considered how ideas would work before I started because the last time I did tints I did it wrong, so I thought about how I could do better this time, by doing this I used the Understand Art Worlds studio habit.
I think of myself as a beginner in art. This is my second art class besides the required class and I am so excited to see how this semester goes! I hope to learn more about painting and other artists. I am not a very big risk taker but I am willing to be confident and go out of my comfort zone by trying new things and taking risks! My goal is to have better ideas this semester and to be better at brainstorming ideas.
